I have over 20 years of legal experience serving clients, and I've fought over these issues in court; I know how things can go wrong + how to make sure they work. I intentionally keep my firm small, personal, and efficient, so every client gets individualized care and attention.

Based in Ballantyne, in south Charlotte, with my wife (a second-grade teacher with CMS) and twin high-schoolers, I have represented individuals and families across our state. With over two decades in the legal field, I'm proud of my track record: I have successfully represented hundreds of clients from the mountains to the coast in North Carolina. The judgements and appellate decisions I earned for my clients have contributed our body of law, including Foremost Ins. Co. v. Raines (N.C. 2016), Freedman & Freedman Farms, Inc. v. Payne (N.C. 2017), Leonard v. Transylvania Cnty. Dep't of Soc. Servs. (N.C. App. 2015), and Keller v. Deerfield Episcopal Ret. Cmty., Inc. (N.C. App. 2020).
I've been recognized as a Rising Star, I've been awarded a commendation for successfully representing veterans before the U.S. Court of Appeals, I've taught other lawyers classes on law and ethics, and I volunteer with Wills for Heroes. I have also been trained and served as a mediator, bringing people in strained, conflicted situations together to reach amicable resolutions.
